‘Cinema in the Park’
‘To Kill a Mockingbird’
Scheduled for its new Friday showings, Sanford kicks of its revamped film series on May 4 at 7.30 p.m. with a showing of the classic, ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’.
Gregory Peck stars as Atticus Finch, a lawyer in the Depression-era South who defends a black man against an undeserved rape charge and his kids against prejudice. The film won three Oscars including Best Actor for Peck.
The movie will be shown at 7.30 p.m. on Friday, May 4 at Centennial Park in downtown Sanford, located at 5th Street and Park Avenue.
