Sanford's January 'Cinema in the Park' - 'Casablanca'
Scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, Sanford's next Cinema in the Park will be "Casablanca" - the 1942 Humphrey Bogart classic considered by many considered by many to be the greatest film ever produced.
The movie, produced in the middle of World War II, concerns the plight of European refugees caught in Casablanca trying to escape to America. Equally important it concerns the love story between Rick, the cynical bar owner and Isla, played by Ingrid Bergman. The film won three Oscars and numerous classic quotes live on to today.
The movie will be shown at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24 at Centennial Park in downtown Sanford, located at 5th Street and Park Avenue.
