Alive After 5 :: Volunteer Opportunities

The Historic Sanford Welcome Center proudly acknowledges all of the volunteers that make Sanford's Alive After Five Event a great success. Without the dedication of these Volunteers, Alive After Five and other events would not be possible.

About our Volunteers

Help Keep Alive After 5 Growing - Voluteer!

These are some of the positions that we need you to contribute your time or in kind resources to in order to keep Alive After 5 growing.

Alive After 5 Job Categories 

• Ticket Sales at AA5 event (4hrs)
• Event Set-up at AA5 event (4hrs)
• Distribute AA5 posters to merchants the week before AA5 (2hrs)
• Welcome Center Artist sign out at AA5 (2hrs)
• Welcome Center Artist sign back in at AA5 (2hrs)
• Clean up after AA5 event (2hrs)
• Graphic design for flyers or posters (must be talented with computer)
• Take pictures at AA5 event  (4hrs)
• Put lighting out for AA5 event (2hrs)
• Pick up lighting after AA5 event (1hr)
• Decorating Stage for AA5 event (2hr)
• Event planning
• MC for event (4hrs)
• Help with AA5 float for parade

Welcome Center Job Categories (non-event hours)

• Information gathering for hand outs. (Example: make a list of all local hotels)
• Assist with creating a down town merchants map.
• Scrap book person (2-4hrs per week)
• Hand out Flyers (2hrs per week)
• Met and Greet the public.  (open)
• Data entry  (2-4hrs per week)
• Graphic Design for Posters and Flyers (must be talented with computer)
• Inventory  (2hrs per week more later)
• Thank you notes (2hrs per week)
• Gather information for Web site
