Historic Downtown Sanford celebrated it's version of Oktoberfest

There was a variet of live music for all to enjoy all around First Street, Palmetto and South Park Avenue.
Clutching to their leiderhosen Orlando and Central Florida came out in record numbers to Alive After Five in Historic Downtown Sanford for an evening of authentic German entertainment, food and fun.
Folks Polka'd there way down the artist lined First Street to view the fantastic exhibits presented by more than 25 local artists.
First Street was closed in order to make way for Live German music, folk dancing and authentic German food samplings along the streets of historic downtown Sanford.
Of course the featured restaurant was downtown Sanford's own authentic German eatery, Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe. Sanford's favorite German restaurant also served samples right outside the Welcome Center. If you've never been to the Willow Tree Cafe on a Friday or Saturday night this was a fun way to experience real German entertainment in a big way! The Willow Tree Schumcklers will be featured on the main stage and are sure to provide an evening of toe tappin', finger snappin' and oom-pa-pa-ing fun.
Other participating restaurants were Oscar's Waterfront Bar & Grill, Cafe Perks and Rib Ranch.
Sample wine, beer and food was provided as always for a $5.00 donation sticker- proceeds go towards future events.
